I did not sit down in 2005 with a career roadmap and a ten-year plan. I sat down with a problem I wanted to solve and a language I barely knew. That is still how it works for me, two decades in.

I am a Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central specialist, an IT team leader, a co-founder, and now the founder of LinearBridge Consulting Limited. But none of those titles captures the thing I actually do, which is make complex problems smaller before solving them.

Over the past twenty years I have worked with organisations across Nigeria and the UK — some building from scratch, some fixing what came before them, some trying to grow faster than their systems could handle. In every case, the work was the same: understand the domain deeply, earn the trust of the people involved, and build something that outlasts the engagement.

The Foundation2005 – 2010

The beginning — and the beautiful confusion

I did not plan any of this. I sat down with a problem I wanted to solve and a language I barely knew. Early on, I had the privilege of working with someone who saw something in me before I fully could — a first employer who believed in me before I believed in myself. Every journey needs that person.

Those first years were fast and often wrong. I wrote code that worked in my environment, on a good day. I confused cleverness with skill. But I was learning at a pace I have never quite replicated, and I was having the time of my life.

Going Deeper2011 – 2016

Learning to read the room — and the codebase

The humbling period. I stepped into Microsoft Dynamics NAV consulting and inherited systems that made no sense until, slowly, they did. I realised that software is sediment — every quirk in a codebase is the ghost of a decision someone made under pressure, usually for good reason.

I stopped thinking about how to make things work and started thinking about why they were built the way they were. That shift changed everything about how I approach a client engagement.

Leading2017 – 2020

From technologist to co-founder

I co-founded Teknohub Solutions Management Limited and stepped into the VP of IT role — which means I spent as much time in boardrooms as in terminals. Running a team taught me what no certification ever could: that your most valuable skill is not technical. It is the ability to communicate clearly, earn trust quickly, and hold steady when everything is on fire.

I also took a step back into education — MSc in Big Data Analytics at the University of Derby, graduating with Distinction. Not because I needed the credential, but because I wanted to think more rigorously about what data actually tells us.

Now2021 – Present

Building LinearBridge

I moved to the UK and joined Sci-Net Business Solutions as a Business Central Developer, working remotely and building depth in the Microsoft ecosystem. That proximity to global standards, combined with everything I had learned leading teams in Nigeria, made one thing obvious: there is a gap between where most organisations are and where they want to be, and that gap is often bridged by the right person at the right moment.

LinearBridge is that bridge. It carries what I have spent 20 years earning — the technical depth, the commercial judgment, and the patience to do it properly.

The code is rarely the hard part

Understanding the domain is the hard part. Writing the code is just transcription once you understand the problem well enough.

Boring is a feature

I have never once been called at 2 a.m. because a system was too predictable. Boring code is code that works. We embrace it.

Every shortcut is a deferred decision

Technical debt is future-you paying for a choice past-you made under pressure. Sometimes it is the right call. But know you are borrowing, not saving.

Communication is the career

The ability to explain clearly what you are doing and why — to a colleague, a client, a stakeholder — will take you further than any language or framework.

Twenty years is a long time.
It is also somehow not enough.

There are still problems I want to solve, systems I want to understand, and ideas I have not had yet. That part has not changed at all.

LinearBridge is the vessel for all of it — the accumulated judgment, the technical depth, and a genuine desire to help organisations move forward without leaving a mess behind.
